The Dragon Ball franchise's female characters are some of the most iconic and memorable ones in the series. Here are the best of them.
- Launch
Launch was quite an interesting character whose presence faded with the appearance of Dragon Ball Z. She is a two-personality character - a calm, blue-haired side and a violent, blonde-haired side.
It's a shame that few people know this interesting character, who only appears for brief moments during Dragon Ball Z. Games like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot do a better job of showcasing this character and her unique personalities.
- Bulma
Bulma is one of Dragon Ball's most iconic characters. It's her fateful encounter with Goku that kicks off the events of the series and puts Goku in the middle of so many difficult situations and battles.
Bulma is a genius who has built many useful gadgets for the Z Warriors throughout the series. While she's a bit too self-centered for her own good, fans of the series love her to death for injecting much-needed energy into the events of Dragon Ball.
- Pan
Goku's granddaughter plays a central role in Dragon Ball GT when she helps the shrunken version of her grandfather try to collect the Dragon Balls during the series. She's a great character that fans have grown to love over the course of the series.
Of course, Dragon Ball Z features Pan in a more discreet role. She still has a decent part to play in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which indicates that more is to come for this aspiring Saiyan.
- Android 18
Android 18 initially appeared as a despicable antagonist who wanted to destroy the entire world. However, Krillin's affection for her led the android to turn over a new leaf and settle down with this fighter.
She remained in the background for most of the series, but she is still capable of fighting when the situation demands it. That said, her responsibilities as a mother further reduced her role as a fighter in the series.
- Chi-Chi
Goku's wife is one of the most interesting characters in the entire series. The daughter of the Ox-King has a turbulent personality and doesn't let herself be insulted.
It's no wonder the greatest warriors on Earth fear her imposing presence. Chi-Chi is a strict mother with a good heart, and her tantrums are quite amusing in themselves.
- Caulifla
The introduction of twin universes in Dragon Ball Super paved the way for new Saiyans. Caulifla and Kale are two of the few female Saiyan warriors to be introduced in the series. The former is turbulent and outspoken, while the latter is rather reserved in comparison.
Caulifla's Super Saiyan form is quite powerful and allows her to rival Goku and Vegeta's divine forms. This forces her to fuse with Kale in order to stand a chance against these fighters.
- Kale
Kale may seem rather shy and reserved at first glance, but this hides her true powers well. Just like Broly, she has the power to transform into a legendary Super Saiyan who can go completely berserk.
Her power is truly terrifying, and her introduction was an excellent way to reintroduce Broly into the series. She is quite an interesting character, whose power increases exponentially after fusing with Caulifla to form Kefla.
- Mai
Mai seems to be nothing more than a joke character who is constantly stuck in a loop with Emperor Pilaf in an attempt to get the Dragon Balls. However, her importance is quite significant when the Future Trunks saga in Dragon Ball Super arrives.
It turns out that Future Mai is actually Future Trunks' romantic interest in the series. This is an interesting dynamic that definitely elevates the importance of this character to new heights.
- Videl
Most people would never have expected Mr. Satan's daughter to play such an important role in the series. However, she ends up bonding with Gohan during high school, a bond that continues until they get married and have a child too!
Videl is quite an interesting character who goes out of her way to fight powerful opponents despite her status as a mere human. She is a fun character who is introduced and fleshed out during the World Peace saga.
- Vados
Vados is the angel of Universe 6, and she is also Whis's sister. Suffice it to say that she is one of the strongest people in the series, by far.
Not much is known about Vados at this point, other than her identity as an angel. Of course, it is very possible that later arcs will develop her character in the series.
